About testroutes.uk
testroutes.uk shows practice routes around UK driving test centres, so learners can see what driving near their centre is like before test day.
The figures on each page come from the practice routes in the Driving Test Routes app: route lengths and times, the roads that come up most, roundabouts per route and the mix of speed limits.
Where the figures come from
For each of 315 UK test centres the app has a set of practice routes (3,032 in total). Each page summarises them: typical length and time, the range from shortest to longest, the roads that appear on the most routes, roundabouts per route and the share of the driving at each speed limit. Comparisons such as "more roundabouts than 70% of UK test centres" are made across all 315 centres. Figures were last updated 10 September 2026.
Practice routes are planned around the roads near each test centre. On test day the examiner can use any roads in the area, so practise widely and with your instructor.
Who publishes this site
testroutes.uk is published by STEERCLEAR LTD, which also makes the app.
